New Chalkboard Plans Today on Domestically Speaking

Hey there friends! It seems lately I’m fixated with building chalkboard projects… I just can’t erase them from my mind! First was my DIY Ballard Designs Knockoff Chalkboard Shelf, then my DIY Vintage Industrial Chalkboard Shadowbox and today I’m sharing plans over at Domestically Speaking for a DIY Ballard Designs Knockoff Schoolhouse Chalkboard!

This is a super easy DIY project that can be made at a HUGE savings. The original retails for $229, but my DIY version can be made for only $15! Better than the savings is this piece is absolutely adorable. It maintains the antique styling of the original piece including the worn wood, metal fasteners and rope. Wouldn’t this be a great gift for someone who appreciates antiques? What about as a menu board at a tasting room listing all of the craft beer selections?
