9/27 Sunday Sneak Peek

Hey there Skatemates! How was your first weekend of Fall? Did you do anything fun to celebrate the start of the new season? The cooler weather is a signal to break out the crock pot. And that’s just what I did this weekend. I made some pulled pork. I served it with coleslaw made with cabbage and onions from my garden. I also had some pickles I made a few weeks ago. I guess I shouldn’t write after I eat, because all I can think about is food!

Besides making a delicious dinner, I also made lots of progress with some projects. First, the bathroom window restoration is DONE! It took waaay longer than anticipated, but it looks great. Did you miss the bathroom window restoration saga? Well, you’re in luck! I recently added a bathroom window gallery where you can read about the resto and check out the restoration photos.

For the window this weekend, I touched up the paint on the sashes, finished patching the wall around the window, primed and touched up the wall color. I also added a new window lock and sash hook lift. It feels great to be finally done with this project, so I can move on to a new project.

Speaking of projects, I was hoping to share at least one more garden project with you. But now that fall is here, I’ll wait until spring to share it. I do have a new indoor project to share with you. I finished the instructions this weekend and I’ll be sharing it this week. The project is also the subject of the Sunday Sneak Peek. More on that later.

I’m really excited… I received an e-mail request from a website to feature one of my projects! Of course I agreed. I’m not sure when it will be featured, but I promise to let you know as soon as I find out.

Here it is friends. The next project. It’s really easy to make, fully customizable and can be matched to coordinate with any room of your house. Stay tuned for the plans this week.
