Medicine Cabinet Ideas and a Remedy for my Spinning Head

Springtime makes my head spin. I have so many projects I want to tackle, both inside and outside the house. But which project to start first? Finish up the indoor projects I started over the winter? Finish designing and building my new work bench? Complete the plans for my fireplace mantle?

But it’s so sunny outside and who wants to be stuck in the house? And if I venture outside, where do I begin? Plant the garden? Build raised beds for my friend? Finish the fence project I started last year? My mind races with projects!

I can cross “planting the garden” off my list!

Here’s what I do. I make a list, well, actually I make a few lists. I have an outdoor list, an indoor list and a list of projects I can easily complete after work. Yup, I’m a list maker!

If the weather is sunny, I jump to my outdoor list and search for a project. During the spring and summer my indoor projects get neglected until it rains. So when I see rain in the forecast, I jump to my indoor list.

Here’s how I make my lists: First, I jot down all of the projects I want to do. Then, I go back and write down all the steps I need to do to complete that project. So for my friend Linda’s raised beds the list might go something like this:

Linda's List

Then when I have some time to start a project, I review my list and tackle a project I think I can finish, or at least make some considerable headway in the time I have available. Make sense?

Does your head spin with projects? Need a remedy? Write two lists and text me in the morning!
