Thank You for an Amazing 2015!

Happy New Year friends! I hope you had a safe and enjoyable holiday season. Did you make any New Year’s resolutions? I don’t usually make resolutions, but I do like to set goals.

I’ll share a few goals in a minute, but before we get to those, I want to thank all of the sites that drove traffic here in 2015… Ana White, Hometalk, Kreg Owner’s Community, Knock Off Decor, WoodworkersWorkshop®, freewoodworkingplan.com, and littlethings.com just to name a few. Without the help of these sites you likely wouldn’t be here.

Next I want to thank you for sticking around once you got here. I never would have expected when I started this blog there would be so much interest in my free DIY plans. I extend a heartfelt Thank You to all of you who are following me on this DIY journey. I am so glad you’re here with me!

2016 Goals – Part I
What can you expect for 2016? A LOT! Lots of projects, lots of free plans and lots of fun. In March we’ll celebrate my one year blogiversary! How should we celebrate? Giveaways? New plans? Please post your ideas in the comments.

There are so many projects I want to share with you this year! In the nine months the blog has been in existence, there were 14 projects shared. Not bad, but I want to give you more in 2016. My goal is to share two projects each month, for a total of 24 projects in 2016.

What are the projects? We’ll be tackling a big project in a small space… a tiny bathroom renovation that will consist of at least two phases. First we’ll remove the old vanity and do any necessary wall and floor repair work. Then we’ll build a new vanity made from cherry wood and install the vanity. During phase two we’ll remove the old medicine cabinet, replace it with a custom built cabinet and do any necessary wall repair. Of course I’ll be sharing the vanity and medicine cabinet plans with you. And of course the plans will be FREE!

I also want to share with you plans for a floor lamp, an electric fireplace mantle, a workshop bench, some garden accessories and my version of Ikea’s Brown Black Stain. Designing and building some bedroom furniture is also on the list. Plus I’m sure some projects will pop up and we’ll build those along the way. Like I said, there’s lots to do!

Until next week…
Thank you again for joining me. Next week I’ll share Part II of my 2016 goals. I’m also putting together a list of Saws on Skates projects you clicked on the most in 2015, so please stay tuned for the Top 10 countdown.

Let’s chat next Tues-DIY, and don’t forget, Workshop Wednes-DIY is on hiatus until next week. Have a good week and thank you again for following along!
