DIY Pegboard Tool Organizer (Sketch & Specs)

Build a rotating pegboard tool holder to keep screwdrivers, wrenches, and more organized and always within easy reach.

I spotted a tool holder in a Facebook woodworking group that caught my eye. It was sitting on a workbench, had four sides made from pegboard, and was mounted on a lazy susan.

Wrenches hung from the pegboard, screwdrivers stood in the center; with a quick spin, every tool was right at your fingertips. Super handy!

I decided to model my own version. I pictured the side frames joined with dowels, but you could just as easily use stub tenons; that’s where you cut a short tenon on the ends of the rails that fit into shallow mortises in the stiles. Then, instead of attaching the pegboard to the back of the frame, you could insert it into a groove in the stiles and rails.

For a polished look, I’d bevel the frames’ edges at 45 degrees on the table saw, but you can build it however it suits your skills and tool collection.
