NOTE: I designed this cabinet in SketchUp to lay out the dimensions and construction details, then used AI to create a “finished” image so you can see what the project could look like once built.
My buddy bought another vacation rental and needed some furniture, so I decided to test out a few headboard ideas by changing up the slat patterns.
For this one, I went with a modern grid layout. The vertical and horizontal slats intersect to create a clean, geometric look that feels simple but still makes a statement.
I designed it with pocket hole joinery in mind, but you can build it with any method you prefer.
